With multiple versions of its beloved Charger, Dodge seriously ups the ante with its blacked-out Octane models. Check out these jaw-dropping features of the Octane Edition, then take a test drive – if you dare…

Design

The Charger SRT Hellcat Octane Edition will be available for a limited time and will be discontinued at the close of the 2019 model year. This blacked-out version of the SRT Hellcat will include an all-black exterior and black accent features. Also available for the Octane is a black center stripe with a red border on the sides. Continuing with the black-on-black design, the Octane sports a dark grille, dark rear spoiler, and black 20-inch wheels. Creatively accented, the Octane includes Brembo brakes that are equipped with red calipers at the front and rear of the vehicle.

Performance

As you would expect of a Dodge Charger, the Octane comes equipped with an incredibly powerful supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI V-8 engine. This engine is capable of an astonishing 707 horsepower, which is impressive, to say the least. The Octane can run a quarter of a mile in approximately 11.8 seconds and can reach a top speed of 204 miles per hour. It takes an estimated 3.7 seconds for the vehicle to reach 60 miles per hour. For a car on the hefty side, the Octane handles well and clearly sports the acceleration and high-performance capabilities that you’d expect from a muscle car.

Interior

Overall, the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is a stylish car, but the Octane Edition aims for a blacked-out look. The interior of the new-and-improved Octane Edition features SRT performance seats, the famous Charger SRT Hellcat houndstooth accents, red seatbelts, and red stitching all over the interior. With its combination of black-on-black design elements and red accents, the Octane is truly a one-of-a-kind vehicle.

The Octane edition of the Charger SRT Hellcat features a power driver’s seat, a 7.0-inch touch screen information and entertainment system, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities, satellite radio, and Bluetooth. There are a host of additional packages available, so drivers have complete control over customizing their vehicle.

Safety Features

Standard safety features for the 2019 Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat Octane include a rearview camera, a system of six airbags, and rear parking sensors. Additionally, several safety features are available as add-ons, such as adaptive cruise control, automatic high beams, a blind-spot monitoring system, forward-collision warnings, and automatic emergency braking. Since the Charger is a muscle car that’s been built for speed, it’s a nice touch that Dodge has included so many safety features with the SRT Hellcat.

A classic high-performance vehicle with undeniable speed and power, the Octane Edition of the Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat is a top-of-the-line Charger that’s an absolute beast on the road.
